If you think you’ve discovered a bug, you are able to post to the Alpha/Beta place from the support forums. We would like to hear from you! If you’re comfortable composing a reproducible bug report, file one on WordPress Trac, in which you can also find a listing of known bugs.
This program is still in development, so we do not recommend you run it on a production website. Consider preparing a test website to play with the new edition.
Should you’re running an old version of PHP, we highly suggest updating it today, until WordPress 5.2 is formally published.


  • A brand-new wp_body_open() template tag (and corresponding wp_body_open activity ) will enable themes (and plugins! ) ) Add content directly after the is opened (#12563).
  • Superfluous paragraph tags will no longer incorrectly appear in dynamic block material (#45495).
  • The Site Health displays have received several bug fixes, tweaks, and performance enhancements.
  • Custom error handlers currently load correctly (#46069).

    WordPress 5.2 has plenty of refinements to enhance the developer experience. To keep up, subscribe to this Create WordPress Core blog and pay special attention to the developers notes for upgrades on those and other changes that could affect your merchandise.
