Before this yearI wrote about MadKudu’s investigation of free trials and asked if subscribers were interested in another benchmarking survey on the subject, and the response was overwhelming. Over the last few months, my colleague Patrick Chase, and that I (along with assistance from many folks in the community) have been busy putting the survey together. I’d like to thank Ryan Janssen for lending a hand.
In our portfolio, customer acquisition rsquo; ve seen the usage of trial that is free and we & be a highly effective instrument for SaaS and infrastructure software firms. In addition, the use of those marketing tactics spans the contract worth gamut. I’m interested to learn these trends are. Please spread the word so we can find a data set. We anticipate sharing the research with the neighborhood.
We hope to illuminate trends in freemium/free-trial for example: the best length of a free trial; the increase in conversion speed of a trial lead touched by sales; the use of free trial across customer segments and ACVs; and the structure of a free trial (is it time bound, feature jumped, utilization bound etc)
