On July 2, the eight 2018 Alexa Prize teams, from universities across the globe, entered the semifinals phase of the contest. In mid-August the two teams with the greatest customer evaluations will automatically progress to the finals round. Amazon will selects at least one group according to interestingness, coherence, their socialbot worth, rate, and merit. Even though a mixture of innovation, innovation, and creativity fuels groups, customer participation is crucial for them to achieve their objectives. Your interactions and feedback will be crucial to assisting teams continue to improve their socialbots into the finals round.

A while back I wrote about that the Alexa Prize, a university competition where engaging teams are producing socialbots focused on advancing personal computer to human interaction. We’re currently in year two, currently going into the last stretch for 2018 and that I thought I would give everyone an update.
