The funding came in Gradient Ventures, Google’s AI-focused venture fund, with participation from previous investors, Kleiner Perkins, First Round Capital, and Sumon Sadhu, an angel investor.
Gradient Ventures was curious enough in the technology to invest and sees promise in the company’s capacity to support the evolution of machine learnings tools globally.
Labelbox charges based on the quantity of also the breadth of services they utilize and data that firms upload and counts around 50 customers for its service, Sharma said. Some called customers include Airbus, Lytx, FLIR Systems, Genius Sports, and KeepTruckin.
Financing in the round will be used build out its sales and marketing teams, and to double the size of its group to 22.
