It is difficult to believe, but LEGO and Star Wars are a set for two decades. Things were looking a bit grim for the LEGO Group back in 1999. Not only was that the entire world bracing for its Y2K that was overhyped, but earnings of LEGO building sets was in decline. All that changed with the introduction of the first LEGO Star Wars places on April 9, 1999.
